Around this time last year, I started playing Cult of the Lamb by Massive Monster and Devolver Digital, a cute game that’s perfect for the Halloween season. It follows a lamb who is doomed to be sacrificed to the Old Gods, but is instead saved and divinely chosen to resurrect an even older god. The lamb (the player) is given powers to fight the Old Gods and their followers and then tasked with starting a cult to become even stronger. I’ve really enjoyed playing the game, fighting off gods and their followers, creating my cult, and being a cute little lamb with divine powers.
Build a Cult
Part of the game involves building a following of animals by saving them from being sacrificed and converting them to your cult. The larger your cult, the stronger you become in order to defeat the gods trying to kill you. You can raise your power through various means, such as sermons, feasts, gifts for followers, bribes, and generally keeping your flock happy and healthy. There’s also decorations and farming to spruce up the space given to you by the elder god that is guiding your journey. However, you can also lose followers if they lose faith in you, so it’s a balance of getting resources, killing gods, and keeping your faithful, well, faithful!
Don’t Starve Collaboration
To celebrate the first anniversary, Massive Monster and Klei Entertainment have come together to create a crossover event between their two games, Cult of the Lamb and Don’t Starve Together. I’m excited to play this update and stream it to get into the spooky spirit of Halloween! Join me in playing this game once again as I continue building my cult, fighting gods, and decorating my area. I plan to stream on Twitch and YouTube when I have the time.
Join My Cult!
I created cute stickers and badges/banners based around my streaming logo and Cult of the Lamb aesthetics. Feel free to download and share these images to show you’re a follow of the Cult of Fury!
