Cool new way to listen to music!

What’s up, everyone? I’m here to introduce a new, cool way to listen to all your favorite tunes! It’s radical, it’s cutting-edge, and it will change your life!

Have you been itching to listen to music without distractions like ads, bad wi-fi connections, or disappearing media? What if you could take your music with you on the go, using headphones so only you can hear the masterful beats of your favorite songs?

Well, I got great news for ya! You can do all of that and more with an mp3 player! What’s that, you ask? It’s this neat little device you can put your music on and listen to whenever, wherever you want. Just download the songs and albums you want to this device and grab your headphones to jam on! The best part? You don’t have to use your phone!

Where can you get one?

Here’s where you can get these awesome portable music players:

  1. Among your old collection of tech from the bygone era of the late 90’s/early 2000s. Just search through the boxes and drawers of things you’ve kept around and you might just stumble upon your old iPod from 2006!
  2. Check out listings on eBay. People are selling their portable audio players that are still in good condition. Bonus: you may find some gems in the music library!
  3. Ask a classmate or peer in your age-group. You might know someone who knows someone who has an mp3 player and is willing to loan theirs out.
  4. Go hunting in your local shops that carry all kinds of wacky things! Chances are there are different kinds of devices that you can listen to your music on between the fancy plates and corduroy pants of a thrift shop or antique store.
  5. Head to the store. If you can’t find them out in the wild, you can bet on Sony to have walkmans and mp3 players on hand, brand spanking new!

How do you get your music on the player?

If you already have music saved on your computer, you can plug in your mp3 player and download it. Don’t worry about storage, these babies can hold a whopping 30 gigabytes (or more)! For the Apple people, go to iTunes or the Apple music app to buy and download music to your device. You can also rip CDs that you already have and add them to your music library.

It’s retro, baby!

Sarcasm aside, offline listening is coming back as a new trend. While streaming music on your phone or computer can be more accessible, you still have to trudge through unskippable ads, have a steady internet connection, and hope your music doesn’t disappear from the platform you’re listening on. CD players and mp3 players provide exactly what you want without all the extra crap: music. You don’t have to stream on your phone and take up battery power or data, plus, most of them still have headphone jacks!

This article is brought to you by the excitement I felt upon discovering my old iPod while going through my mother’s belongings. I’ve been getting tired of constant ads and wary of my personal data being bought and sold without my knowledge–or consent. I want to go back to physical media: paperback books, DVDs and VHS tapes, CDs, and devices that aren’t part of the Internet of Things.
